Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?
Tuesday – Thursday // 4 pm – 9 pm (last booking starts at 8:30 pm)
Friday // 2 pm – 11 pm (last booking starts at 10:30 pm)
*2pm – 4pm by booking only
Saturday // 12 pm – 11 pm (last booking starts at 10:30 pm)
Sunday // 12 pm – 6 pm (last booking starts at 5:30 pm)
To further explain our hours, for example, our last booking on Tuesday starts at 8:30 pm. We stay open until that booking is done. If there isn’t a booking, we close the doors at 8:30 pm. Some experiences, like the escape games, have specific start times.
If you are looking to book something outside these hours, please fill out a custom booking request!
Special and private events can alter our hours as well. That is why we highly recommend creating a booking – it is the only way to guarantee a spot. We do accept walk-ins if we can. Our busiest times are Friday and Saturday nights.
All bookings are non-refundable.
DO YOU SERVE FOOD and DRINKS?
YES! We have an updated and expanded menu. We serve some great wings, flatbreads, wraps, and more. Please, no outside food. Check out our MENU.
Contrary to a lot of the press we received, we are not just a bar… we are a social venue where you can have a drink as the responsible, grown-axe adult you are.
Beer, wine, mixed drinks, and soda will be available for purchase at The X Bar onsite. We have a great selection of drafts and a few bottles. We do not limit your alcoholic purchases unless your behavior warrants it. Of course, you must be 21 years or older to purchase alcohol.
If you appear to be intoxicated when you arrive, we refuse service to you. Yes – we have and we will. Everyone’s safety is our top concern.
CAN WE BRING OUR OWN FOOD AND DRINK?
That’s a nope… except for birthday cake, especially if you share. There are exceptions for large, private parties when you book out the facility.
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?
You need to arrive at the check-in time, my friends. You need time to sign waivers, get a drink, etc. We also go over safety, rules, and how to throw. Your allotted booking time starts at the time of your booking. We are unable to wait if you or part of your group is late. Therefore you may have less than X minutes if you are not ready to go at the booking start time. Please plan ahead for traffic and parking concerns. There are no refunds.
WHERE SHOULD I PARK?
Love watching videos instead of reading? We got you.
Take your pick. There are parking lots (The Block) and on-street parking around the building. On busy weekends, you may have to park a ways away. Be prepared to walk! The entrance is on Washington Street with our logo on the door. Once you step into the lobby, turn to the left and head up the stairs. If you need handicapped parking, please park in the alley off of Maple St.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?
Comfortable clothes are the best. Think “hip lumberjack” if you want to blend in with the AxeMasters. Also, closed-toe shoes only. Yes, you need to have your feet covered for axe and rage bookings. Shoes and socks are available for rental for those who didn’t read this. Other than that, we provide everything else you need.
WAIVERS
All those participating in an experience activity must sign a waiver. Waivers for minors are also required and can ONLY be signed by the Parent/Guardian. Waivers links can be found here, the button below or onsite. Additionally, when you book, you will have the option to provide guest information and send them a link to the online waiver.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Booking is like buying tickets to an event. Therefore, cancellations and rescheduling requests must be made 24 hours prior to your event booking. Cancellations made prior to the 24 hours receive a store credit to be used for a future booking.
Cancellations after 24 hours forfeit any payment.
In addition, any guest count changes that would affect the length of booking time you need should be communicated 24 hours in advance as well.
Any overpayment is turned into store credit.
You may cancel or reschedule by calling (leave a voicemail!) or email.
And just like buying tickets to an event, there are NO REFUNDS.
DO YOU HAVE GIFT CERTIFICATES?
Yes, we do. You can purchase on site and electronically.
HOW MUCH IS AXE THROWING?
The best way to calculate your cost is to use our booking system due to taxes, fees, and group discounts. Please note, that there are no refunds. Click BOOK below to view the schedule of availability and ya know, book. Spectators are always welcome at no charge. Bookings are based on time, so your X minutes of throwing begins at your booking time, not when you arrive.
When you book, find the experience that best matches the size of your group. Each experience is priced per lane or room and not per person!
Length of throwing time based on the number of people per lane:
People in Group | Time | Max amount of people per lane |
1- 3 people | 30 minutes | 3 |
4 – 6 people | 60 minutes | 6 |
7 – 9 people | 90 minutes | 9 |
10 – 12 people | 120 minutes | 12 |
For example, if you have 4 people in your group you would select a 60 minute experience.
You have 2 payment options when you book – you can pay the booking in full or pay the 50% deposit. It can be very difficult for us to take bookings over the phone when we are open, therefore we commonly kindly ask that you make your booking online.
All bookings are non-refundable.
Walk-In
We accept walk-ins based on availability Tuesday – Sunday. There is a small upcharge and no discounts for walk-ins.
All bookings are non-refundable.
WILL WE THROW WITH OTHER PEOPLE?
All bookings are considered private and we do not mix groups of people on the same lane.
IS AXE THROWING SAFE?
Throwing axes are similar to other target sports. Players must follow the instructions and safety rules explained by our staff and use common sense. Our experienced and highly trained AxeMasters are with you at all times and monitor your throws for safety and guide you through the entire process.
Only players that sign our waiver and go through our safety course are allowed to enter the throwing area. Players must follow specific instructions from their AxeMaster or risk being that guy/gal that is asked to leave.
CAN MY KIDS THROW AXES?
Kiddos who are ages 10 and up, can listen and follow safety rules are allowed to play.
Again, children under 10 years old are not allowed to throw. All ages are welcome in the facility (beware: it can get pretty noisy!).
CAN I BRING A LARGE GROUP OF KIDS?
Aren’t you brave? Players 10-17 years old must have an adult present with them AT ALL TIMES.
All those participating in an experience activity must sign a waiver. Waivers for minors are also required and can ONLY be signed by the Parent/Guardian. Waivers links can be found here, the button below or onsite. Additionally, when you book, you will have the option to provide guest information and send them a link to the online waiver.
We highly suggest a 5:1 minor to adult ratio in your experience.
A couple of examples…
Your group has (2) 13yr, (3) 10yr, (1) 15yr. We suggest 2 adults playing.
You have the following minors: (1) 11yr and (2) 16 yr. We suggest 1 adult.
WHAT ABOUT LARGE GROUPS OR CORPORATE BOOKINGS?
Check out TEAMBUILDING or LARGE GROUPS AND PARTIES for more information.
CAN I BRING MY OWN AXE?
When you throw axes, they can break. We allow you to bring your own axe but it must follow WATL standards and pass a safety inspection. We are not responsible for theft or damage. You can also bring your own axe to LEAGUE.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Please check out the packages above for cost. Add-ons such as electronic items, furniture, or other specialty items are priced by size and can be added during the booking process or onsite.
IS IT SAFE?
Accidents can happen anywhere, doing anything. Providing you follow all of our safety rules, yes – rage rooms are safe. We do require you to sign a waiver prior, wear all safety equipment provided, and completely covered shoes.
WHAT IS THE AGE REQUIREMENT?
Ages 12 and up can participate with parent signature on the waiver. The adult must be present the entire time as well. Registration/Waivers are attached to the booking confirmation email, at the bottom of this site and on location.
DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?
Please make sure to wear thick soled, completely-covering-your-feet shoes, such as boots and breathable, lightweight clothing.
